Single Session Topics
Register for a regularly-scheduled date and time on this web site with our new online registration system. Click here for access to the calendar. Registration deadlines are 7 days before the program runs, and registration is on a first come, first served basis. Programs are offered at 9am, 10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm EDT with the first 15 minutes used for the purpose of connection testing. Payment can be made with a credit card or a purchase order.

Africa
Explore the plains of Africa and discover the animals that live there, including lions, zebras, baboons and elephants. We'll uncover the relationship between predator and prey and look adaptations these animals have for survival on the savannah. Recommended for grades K-2, 3-5 and 6-8.

It’s going to take some heroic actions to protect the earth’s wildlife. Learn about 3 Indianapolis Prize finalists who are incredible conservation heroes and how you can be one yourself. Program incorporates original videos produced especially for this program. Note: Students will need paper and pencil for this program. Recommended for grades 3-5, 6-8.

Earth Day
We’ve all been told to “save the planet,” but how can we do this? It goes much farther than “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.” We’ll talk about our beautiful planet and how we can keep it clean as we celebrate Earth Day 2010. Recommended for grades K-2, 3-5.

Endangered Species
It’s sad, but true – entire species of plants and animals vanish from our planet everyday. In this program, we’ll discuss some causes of extinction, talk about some success stories of survival, and learn how you can do your part to help save the earth’s endangered species. Recommended for grades 3-5, 6-8.

The Mitten
A classic tale by Jan Brett, The Mitten is a story of a lost mitten and the animals that find it. You'll be introduced to some real-life vesions of the book's characters as we read through this winter favorite. Recommended for grades K-2.

Climate Change 101! We'll take a look at the causes and effects of climate change as well as some as the animals most affected. Note: Teachers need 3 sheets of paper, 2 red markers, 2 orange markers, 50 Q-tips or small strips of paper, and a small basket or box for a game that students will play during the program. Recommended for grades 3-5, 6-8.

Penguins
Take a voyage south of the Equator to visit our favorite feathered friends, the penguins! We all know what plants are, but do you know how they work? Get to the root of the question as we cover the basic facts of the plant kingdom. Learn about the parts of a plant and why we need plants for everyday life, from the food we eat and the air we breathe, to the clothes we wear and medicines we take.
