Polar Bears International Project Polar Bear Contest
Bright young minds outsmart CO2! From goat-mowing patrols to no idle zones—Project Polar Bear is a way for small groups of young people to make a big difference! Our contest challenges teens to create community projects that reduce carbon emissions. Grand Prize teens win a trip to Churchill to see wild polar bears.  Have you ever wanted to work in a zoo? Would you like something "wild" to do next year? The Indianapolis Zoo's Zoo Teen Program is an exciting way for students, ages 14* to 18 years, to explore career opportunities, meet new friends, gain customer service skills, and much more!
We seek responsible, reliable, enthusiastic students with an interest in learning about animals, who can interact with Zoo guests, and be role models for their peers. Students of all academic levels will be considered for the program.
*Candidates must be fourteen years old by the application deadline.
There are two exciting levels offered in the Zoo Teen Program - Explorers and Specialists. For those just starting out in the program, we offer many Explorer opportunities to develop experience. For those with previous Zoo Teen experience, they can become a Specialist in an Explorer position or in another exciting position specifically for Specialists.
