You will get a peek behind the scenes at the Zoo with an Adventure Tour. These Tours give guests an opportunity to view the Zoo from a different vantage point and encounter animals in a new way, as well as hear about the conservation mission of the Zoo from the keepers and trainers themselves. All Adventure Tours will take guests behind the scenes as well as give guests an opportunity to meet an animal up close and personal. Adventures begin in the Hix Institute (formally the Education Center) just to the right of the Zoo gates where guests will meet an Adventure Guide, receive an Adventure map and information, synchronize watches and begin the Adventure. During your visit of the Zoo the Adventure map will direct you to the times and locations to meet the Adventure Guide for a special behind the scenes experience. Each Tour experience will give you an opportunity to step behind the scenes where you will see areas of the Zoo most people never get a chance to experience. Adventure Tours are $50 per person. Zoo admission and parking are not included. Guests may purchase Zoo admission tickets online or when they arrive at the Zoo. As always, Zoo members receive admission and parking free. Adventure Tours must be booked in advance online.
