The Zoo is not just about seeing the animals, and the Gardens isn’t just about the act of gardening. They're also about how a beautiful outdoor settings and dynamic indoor spaces add beauty and glory to the rest of our lives. So, why not plan your next event with us? We have special packages for larger groups. Our sales managers will help you develop the ideal event, from business and social gatherings under glass in the Hilbert Conservatory, to nuptials in the Efromyson Wedding Garden. How about hors d'oeuvres in the Bud Schaefer Rotunda, or a full dinner in the Hulman Riverhouse?

Facilities and Capacities: (Depending on Room Set-Up)

Dolphin Adventure Gallery - Up to 120 people for a daytime event and 250 people seated in the evening, 350 standing
Huge room with oversized windows providing a fascinating view of the dolphins in their watery world, including views from the underwater dolphin viewing dome (evening only). Available day or evening year round.


Oceans - Up to 100 sit down, 250 standing, or more depending on the flow basis
Featuring the nation's largest shark touch pool, this space will let your guests touch sharks until 8pm and view seals, eels and jellyfish.  Available evenings only in January-November.  Photo by Doug McSchooler



Party Pavilion - Up to 500 sit down, 1,000 standing, or more on a flow basis
A spectacular tent sculpture of white canvas near the entrance to the Zoo with lots of party space!  Available day or evening from May 1 - Mid-October.




Hix Institute - 120 sit down, 250 standing
Use all or half of this conference style meeting room, located in the Hix Institute near the Zoo Entrance.  This room can be used for meetings, banquets, wedding rehearsals, and parties.  Available day or evening year round.


Hulman Riverhouse 160 sit down, 250 standing
This room comes with a dramatic view of the spectacular downtown skyline that is visible from every seat in the room.  Located in White River Gardens, this room can be divided in two during the day.  The Hulman Riverhouse is the perfect setting for a meeting, party or wedding reception.


Hilbert Conservatory
This 5,000 square foot Conservatory features changing shows and dynamic and beautiful plantings.  Seasonal shows are featured.  The Hilbert Conservatory may be reserved as an exhibit after operating hours, only in combination with the Hulman Riverhouse.

Admission tickets are required, but prices vary depending on arrangements.

Rides Tickets are available at a package rate, as are Parking Tickets.
