About the International Orangutan Center
The International Orangutan Center will be the most
dynamic exhibit ever built at the Indianapolis Zoo. Once
complete, the International Orangutan Center will be
home to eight orangutans and will include features that
meet the animals' physical, social and intellectual
needs as well as innovate elements that allow guests to
interact with these great apes. The exhibit will open to
the public in May 2014.
