Production Support Seasonal
 The
Zoo's visual appeal is important to providing a pleasant overall guest
experience, and the Creative Services Department ensures that signs, banners
and other visual elements throughout the Zoo look clean and current. The
production support seasonal staff member will assist in that effort,
typically working 40 hours a week during our busiest season.
Job duties:
Responsibilities include installing and repairing environmental and exhibit
graphics, signs and banners, and applying interior and exterior paint
treatments. A strong visual sensibility and attention to detail are
important.
This position’s strenuous physical demands include but are not limited to
frequently lifting weights of 50 pounds or more, standing and walking for
long periods of time, climbing ladders, and digging post holes. Will be
exposed to various oils, solvents and cleaning solutions.
The typical work hours are typically 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday,
though flexibility in scheduling is required. The hourly pay rate is $10.25.
Qualifications:
Basic construction knowledge and ability to use drills, drill press,
circular saws and a variety of other power and hand tools. Ability to paint
on various substrates using various techniques and application equipment.
Will work outside in all types of weather. Ability to work flexible hours
including early mornings, evenings and weekends as required.
A high school diploma/GED is required. Must have a valid Indiana driver’s
license and be insurable by the Zoo’s insurance carrier.
